   So i've been troubleshooting this for a long while now, but we use office 2007 in windows 10.. i say nosotros since i work for a company that would accept to put a lot of coin and time into upgrading part then that's not an choice. only nosotros get this in a fresh install of excel (diagnostic tool doesn't find anything either) on whatsoever windows 10 pc inside our network. and so.. i've already figured out function of the problem; when using the ambassador account from win10 i get the same error BUT when i install and configure outlook to connect to our mailserver etc. the error disappears and information technology is able to apply some kind of redirect from outlook into our own postal service client called groupwise.
   

   then a quick sum up: excel sendmail works in admin account when "properly" configured and is able to apply mailto protocol from groupwise to send/receive mails and access contacts etc. Merely gives an mistake on regular user accounts

   This is the suggested solution beneath if you haven't already tried it.

   In this Windows x build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

   • Open powershell as administrator
   • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like "*windowscommunicationsapps*"} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
   • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
